Product NewsTeltronics Telident Enhanced 911 Solutions released SiteAlert® Digital Monitor v2.0 and 911 Monitor v2.0.
Enhancements for the SiteAlert Digital Monitor include support for the NEAX 200 IVS and the NEAX 2400 IMX PBX using the two-wire D term Series III phone set. The Digital Monitor is now compatible with a variety of switching products and as an added convenience is now available as a service. SiteAlert 911 Monitor has also been enhanced to run as a service, leveraging the Windows® Services architecture to provide robust, low-level application control in a secure environment. Teltronics news is now being distributed through Real Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds for anyone to subscribe to using an RSS aggregator. What is RSS?
RSS is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news or press. An RSS document, which is called a "feed," "web feed," or "channel," contains either a summary of content from the Teltronics web site or the full text. RSS makes it possible for you to keep up with Teltronics in an automated or syndicated manner that is easier than visiting the Teltronics web site manually.
RSS content can be read using software called a "feed reader" or an "aggregator"; the news feeds that populate your personal Yahoo!, Google or Hotmail page. The user subscribes to a feed by entering the feed's link into the reader or by clicking an RSS icon in a browser that initiates the subscription process as pictured above. The reader checks the user's subscribed feeds regularly for new content, downloading any updates that it finds.
