TELTRONICS APPOINTS EX-PANASONIC MANAGER
Teltronics Inc. has hired a former Panasonic business telephone systems product manager as its vice president of marketing.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL, June 15, 2010 ---The telecommunications hardware and software maker said Monday that Christopher Doyle's "industry experience mirrors Teltronics' current objectives to bring target-driven products and solutions to market via a channel partner program."
During his tenure at Osaka, Japan-based Panasonic Corp., Doyle used a "diverse channel partner program" to sell a range of Voice over Internet Protocol-based products. He previously worked for companies such as KnoahSoft, Vertical Communications and Black Box Network Services.
After paying dividends on preferred shares, Teltronics reported a loss of $630,000, or 7 cents per share, for the first quarter of 2010. That compared with a profit of $266,000, or 3 cents per share, during the same quarter a year ago.
Sales were $6.22 million in the first quarter, down from $9.65 million a year ago.
The company's shares, which trade over-the-counter, were selling for 30 cents at the close of regular trading on Monday, unchanged.
